English class

 Hello, today I'm going to talk about the subject of English at University. In first place I would like to tell  my experience at school. English was not one of my favorite subjects, because we changed teacher every year and we didn't learn anything, but independent of that I liked to speak English or do presentations, singing and watching movies.
At the ''Universidad de chile'' I consider the English program is not very well because it is very monotonous and doesn't encourage or motivate students. Although the second half at the year, at level four, my motivation increased I think because the teacher had more skills to teach and he could keep me interested in it.
The problem is that I don't like English classes in general, only applications. That's why I think the blog  is a very good idea to exercise the writing and implications. I think it would be more fun if we saw interesting movies or we read papers related by psychology in addition to the blog, or maybe make plays.
In English I need to improve my vocabulary, my grammar and talk and think at the same time. It has always taken me to write in Spanish because I have bad spelling, for this it makes me so difficult the English grammar.                                                                                                   
On my daily life I use the English when I see movies, listen to music and sometimes talk when I give directions to foreign, and my father is learning English too so he  asks me to please talk to him to practice. Is necessary to learn English if you want to travel around the world to meet people and can communicate with them.

About tatoos

Tattoos is a very interesting topic, a lot of people do it all the time!

There is a lot of motivations between people. Maybe they wanted to remember something for ever, or carry with them to someone or something all the time, or simply they wanted the draw or painted in themselves or they like the pain that you feel when you make it.

 About the history of the tattoos we have to goe back to the Stone Age. The ancient people used it as art, part of the aesthetics and rituals, using to called or representing the gods as in Greece, as well as marks for categorizing people like thieves or criminals as in  Egypt or  with scientific purposes, using them as medicine  burying needles. Tattoos have also been used in animals such as cattle brand. Today make a tatoo is a very popular activity, everione wants to have a tatoo, either because they want  to remember something or just because they like the aesthetics so we can say that often tatoos have an ornamental function only because they like the colors or the form or size but most times the tatoo doesn't have an arnamental function is more a emotional and significant function, but I think always that you choose an image or a picture besides meaning, a lot of people choose it for the beauty.

Some day I whould like to make me a tatoo on my ankle or on my back about something that reminds me  the sea and indigenous or ancient civilizations I'm waiting for a good reason to do it to me.

Good and Bat Points in Sofi's year

The 2013 year was a very good year. The most important event has been joining in the university (Universidad de Chile) because I learned a lot of my and the world inside of it. In general my life has been very good, I find beautiful people, good friends and I kept alive the friendship of my old friends, the friends at school. In my family the things are very quiet, my mom and big brother are finishing their careers and the house is disordered as usual. Like every year the 2013 has been  situations that didn't go so well, my dad has been very very tired in his job because he jobs in a university and it's required so much work. About me, the most difficult is meke me the time for study because I'm in a lot of organisations that required time, organisations that I love but makes hevis when thing put all together like, exams, tests, competitions of volleyball, activities with the neighbours of the university or jub.My achievements are based mainly in be happy with what I'm doing give all of me and do my best in everything. 

As I said before the friendships are very important to me so I think the next year I want to spend more time in them specially with my friends at school because I miss them a lot. I couldn't organize and arrange me so I spect to can change that kind of things or maybe not eliminate this feature, but  decrease a little I wish.

I wish next year is even better for me and for everyone, I hope everyone has a happy new year !!!!!!!

The environment

Today I'm going to talk about the environment. People usually learn about environmentally friendly practices in first place at home. The family where we grew up is the principal influence to learn about how to care about the world and how much we have to respect it. Another place can be in scouts activities because   they can show us to love our surroundings and fraternize taking care and helping to show to the other people how to take care of it. I think schools must teach to their students about the environment and in the university we can find a lot of opportunities to learn how to care for nature and in last place with friends you can learn more, investigate,  practice and create different ways to protect the environment.
In my daily life sometimes  I use the bike instead the car or the bus because I don't release pollution. In my house we practice different method to care the nature, we make eco bricks:  put all plastic in a bottle to make a Brick and we unplug the electrical devices.
 Today I'm working with a company who has a project about  close the streets every Sunday morning for people can use them and bicycling or run or use any non-motorized vehicle, like developer of Colun , one of their sponsors to win some money and make happy to the earth.
 I think in santiago needless more bike path and a better law about pollution and places for recycling and the most important is can change the capitalist and  dirty culture.

my motivation to study psychology

Today I'm going to talk about my motivation to study psychology. Before I have to mention that at the beginning I wanted to study law to be a lawyer, but that idea declined when I realized that it wasn't for me. My area is the psychology because I liked to help the people directly, without meddling invasively in the life of the person, mediating and presenting tools that  they can solve their problems by themselves, making easier the road to reach a kind of balance in their lives. Also  I like outdoor work, the action directly with people, and know new lifestyles and cultures of which we  can draw lessons for life.
Regarding my expectations, I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the first lessons in general, although
there are a couple of lessons that I really dislike like behaviorism but there are exceptions. I think that is very important that the education must to be more practical because we need to have a lot of entailment with people to understand them after.
Now I like to mention some characteristic by psychology. We can find a lot of currents like psychoanalysis, cognitivism, humanism or behaviourism, there are different points of vew by psychology.
And talking about the practical areas we can find the educational area, judicial framework, clinical, social, work setting and  neuroscience.

The typhoon in Philippines

The article talks about the super typhoon  that affected to Haiyan, the islands that make up the Philippines, the largest typhoon in all history of  we have knowledge.
The main important point of this article is can show to the world the personal impressive experiences of the people that was on the place the moment at the catastrophe, tallying each experiences that the author can compile. For example: the experience of the family of Paraskovich. They seen all the roofs of the house fall dawn and they have to carry their old grand Mather to save her, he said that everything has blown away!!
Also the author talks about that the government has not  qualified to confront a disaster like that, they never have a plan, the people doesn't  have the necessary  knowledge to save their own lives! The houses wasn't enough resistant because they are made of wood and straw. People in general felt very frightened and insecure  fearing for his life. So now the government has to learned about the experience and make a good plan for this kind of situations.
A lot of people die because this catastrophe, and a lot of people loose everything, houses, hospitals, supermarkets, whole buildings are destroyed. And that's why people are waiting for help, they doesn't have food, water, refuge or medicine, they need comfort and support of outside and they are waiting for it. 
It was a painful experience for a lot of people and they need help. 

Holidays

Holidays  are important because they allow people can relax and rested from work or studies, permitting them acquire good mental health. I think they are  necessary for everyone because the rate that we have in our lives is quite fast and makes us be stressed.
They also allow people to get out of the big cities, and go out of vacations in  small towns and regions throughout the country, it makes the trade  triggered and then the people who live there can generate profits to live the rest of the year, without having to suffer for finance.

In my opinion  holidays are the best days of the year because they gives me the opportunity to rest or travel everywhere in the country or outside. My favorite place to go in a holiday in  is the beach. Go there with my friends or my family I enjoy it allot. And In second place I liked to go camping to the mountains or the countryside and sleep in a tent. This  hobby I got it from  the scouts since I was a child. 

The next nearest holiday is New Year and the most probably is I am going to go to the beach with the friends or with family to make a big celebration.
I like to travel with people because I think you have to share the good times of life with your partner.
